Hey, some respect here please. Don't EVER post something like that and not report back with any details. It is cruel, misleading, and quite simply rude to do that. We are all anxious and hungry for details, and even if John didn't say much it is imperative that threads are updated to keep your fellow DU'rs from hanging. (this is a VERY rough paraphrase, sorry, hope it helps a little; the speech was Friday according to C-Span)

Thanked his staff, thanked other Senators, especially mentioned John Kerry and said that he is a GOOD person as JE has come to know him so well during the campaign and that in the days and years to come JK will have much to contribute, mentioned his fellow "retirees", mentioned that it is bittersweet to leave the Senate but nice have more time to be with his family and the younger kids especially, mentioned the work that needs to go on, etc. etc etc.

Worth watching if it is on again.
