CyberNET, Stryon, Halcyon, and Chinese connection
For those who don't know...when CyberNET was raided, so too was Stryon, Inc., which is located at the same address, and might have been the real reason for the raid.

"Computer technology company Stryon Inc. was formed recently when CyberNET Group merged its Stryon division with Halcyon Software, a California-based company.

Grand Rapids-based Stryon has 50 local employees..."

http://www.highbeam.com/library/doc0.asp?docid=1G1:88994006&refid=ink_puballtnews&skeyword=&teaser=

We need a computer genius to explain the signifigance of this next link, which shows a security flaw in Stryon software that allows a remote user to access they system:

http://www.securitytracker.com/alerts/2002/Dec/1005809.html

And then there are these new surprises:

1. Styron/Halcyon is a portfolio company of China Vest - http://216.109.117.135/search/cache?_adv_prop=web&ei=UTF-8&prev_vm=p&va=china&va_vt=any&vp=stryon&vp_vt=any&vd=all&vst=0&vf=all&vm=i&fl=0&n=10&u=www.globalprovince.com/../../chinavest_diary.htm&w=china+stryon&d=9916C80C5A&icp=1&.intl=us

2. And this is even bigger - Don Hsi founded Halcyon, and has extensive links with China: http://www.cina.org/2004-activities/cina-mar-monthly-seminar.htm

More smoke - wish we had some fire!

3. Indian connection
When we were first asked to do research the other night--I spent about 5 hours researching. On many searches that I did, I kept coming up with ties going back to India. As hard as I tried, I couldn't put it together...but for some reason every avenue ended there.
I didn't post it because I pale in comparison to some of the researchers in here and didn't want to appear stupid that I couldn't connect the dots...but I find it interesting that you came back to an Asian connection.

4. The Indian connection is for a different Cybernet
Please don't start the CyberNET confusion on this thread.

1. CyberNET Group is also known as Cyberco Holdings:

• Suit cites high-tech shell game
GRAND RAPIDS -- A day after the seizure of equipment and records from a high-tech company, a lender accused Cyberco Holdings Inc. of fraud in a lawsuit involving a $3 million deal to acquire dozens of computer servers

2. CyberNET Group is the programming and web-service arm of Stryon: http://www.stryon.com/

CyberNET Group IS NOT the Cybernet-type company with lots of Indian links.

5. Slight mistake in my post
I posted "2. CyberNET Group is the programming and web-service arm of Stryon"

I should have reversed those - Stryon is the programming and web-service arm of CyberNET.

Sorry! lol - time for bed :(
