do elected democrats feel being silent is moving to the center? |
|
they were told by the media and by every republican offering an opinion that democrats need to move to the center to have any hope of capturing elected office in the future.
does that mean not saying a single word about the possibility of vote fraud, vote tampering, vote suppression, and vote theft in a multitude of states?
have they become afraid to piss off the g.o.p. now?
i would think this is the time for democratic leaders to step up the rhetoric. yet they all seem like whipped puppies -- heads down, tails slowly wagging, hopeful they'll get a pat on the head from their masters.
i'd like to tell them one thing right now, though. if democrats as a party won't stand up for what's right after the debacle and blatant mess of the 2004 election, how can i expect them to stand up for me as a citizen?
if they won't fight for us now, why would they fight for us on things like health care, jobs, and keeping the corporate community in check?
and if they don't come up with a good answer by the mid-terms, here's one lifelong democrat who stands a good chance of sitting at home in november 2006.
