Jesse Jackson on CNN right now says Bush won "fair and square"....
Judy Woodward asked him if he thought Bush won this election "fair and square," and he said "Yes, he won fair and square," and then went on to talk about what Kerry should have done differently in the campaign.

Check out the LBN forum.

The opposition leader (gee, what's that?) has people marching in the Ukraine because their exit polls had the opposition leader winning.

16. Yes, and why the hell aren't we doing something here in the
"home of democracy" or whatever. DU is a great place to communicate. We need to go to the next level now. I don't think this is part of a Democratic strategy anymore. If it is, it is way over my head, and I would be surprised at the craftiness of the democrats. Which is exactly why I think we are truly on our own now. Kerry may still be with us in hiding, but the Democratic party is officially... useless to us.

I had just opened the thread in another window when I first posted, so hadn't gotten to the end of the article and was going by what another DUer had posted.

In the article I just read, I did not see anything about exit polls, but the possible vote fraud, etc. is certainly accurate.

12. I like to entertain the
consipiracy theory side of things when stuff like this happens.

Jesse seems to love media attention and I don't see him wanting to lose his cherished place in that hierarchy.

So, I could assume that there is some dirt on him, and he is doing as told because of that.

Gosh, the FBI was investigating Dr. King for what I assume was the purpose of defaming him. They had some dirt on him, too.

/end conspiracy theory.

14. Jesse Jackson was neutered in 2000
I don't have any idea what the bush crime family has on him -- but he lost his voice in 2000.

I'm someone who really likes the man and was a delegate for him when he ran for Prez.

He's been acting like someone kicked him in the gut -- and as a result he is just a shadow of his former self.

Very sad -- something evil and horrible has taken over and apparently some of the dem leaders have been silenced.

The only voices seem to be from the grass roots.

There is no way large numbers of people were standing in line for hours (with the GOPigs trying to block/slow down the voting process) to vote for the same old bushie.

And we know that the majority of people who waited in line were from poor districts -- the voting booth to voter ratio was typically higher in the areas expected to vote democratic.

Election Fraud though it impacts democrats disproportionately is NOT a partisan issue. If the leadership was in front of this effort there would just be a lot of mudslinging back and forth and we would be left looking a bunch of soreheads. Think long term people. We knows there has to be more evidence just keep digging. Truth is on our side.

23. This makes no sense.
I saw one clip online somewhere from Michael Moore's crews in Ohio as they were watching for voter suppression. It had a bit with Jesse Jackson in the cop car that pulled up as they were watching the Republican challengers be effectively ejected from the precinct. Jesse Jackson was here. He saw what they were doing to suppress minority and underpriviledged vote. What is he thinking?

I am now more convinced than ever that we are not going to see much Democratic Leadership with us on this, because we are the 'minority' right now, regardless of how right and just we are. It occurs to me that these are politicians to the bone, and that most of these Dem Leaders after the loss all got on the 'shit we're out of touch, we have to change our tone' train and are refusing to speak out in the slightest about all this stuff. I bet they all look back to 2000 and are convinced for some ignorant reason that the outcry back then lost them part of their base blah blah blah and that now they are going to act like they are 'Men' and not complain, and say blah blah we are out of touch blah blah we have to now move more towards the mainstream blah blah blah' and it makes me sick. We are dying for leadership but I'm not so sure we are going to get it right now, not as long as our collective voices are still in the far minority of how most americans feel right now. Since most of America is still under the delusion that the shrub won fair and square, so the politicians must declare it so.

But believe me, if this breaks through the MSM and starts becoming water cooler talk and common knowledge, these Dems will all of a sudden waltz into the spotlight with their 'this is deplorable' rhetoric.

Until then We still have each other. WE are the media. We are the leaders. WE ARE STRONG ENOUGH!!!

Don't let these contrary fuckers bring ya down...

32. Quoting David Cobb...
"The Democratic Party is where progressive politics goes to die."

Listen, we can't rely on the Democratic party to put up a fight against the corporate state. The Democratic party is essentially financed by the corporate state, isn't it?

They're bankrupt when it comes to real change.

The political change that is so needed to save our country will require activism from outside the mainstream. But the democratic party IS the mainstream.

I for one like the Greens.

and the Dems have this thing choreographed. Maybe Jesse is doing his part. Maybe Kerry has been planning this coup all along. Maybe in two weeks the floodgates will open and maybe Kerry will be the next president. Maybe. It is strange that the Dems have walked so silently into that goodnight. Who would ever think Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be mute on shit like this election. Its wierd and it gives one hope that something is planned.

40. chill guys
be cool till you're hip to the game. All we have so far is anecdotal evidence of fraud, if Kerry's not out front on voter suppression Jesse would get pilloried for going mainstream no upside. Best scenario: Kerry gets to be president with a republican lock on Congress and the courts because of Jesse's instigation? You're asking for four more years of hell following the end of the democrats for good. Be smart folks. Michael Moore is not part of the "establishment" press. Instead of cursing out an ally we should be helping expose the fraud with our eyes on organizing for 2006 with verifiable paper like California.

Now I REALLY believe something good is going to happen to turn this toward Kerry. I know Jesse and there is no way he would lay down like this. He has fought ALL HIS LIFE for the dis-enfranchised. He's got to be faking this.

One thing does bother me. There are millions of good democrats that have no clue about all the fraud uncovered. If they are not on a progressive website, you don't hear it ANYWHERE -

Hmmm, Jesse's got to know about all this. Maybe, like a good democrat judge warned me, don't get your hopes up. Even if it's uncovered, they control everything and nothing good will happen. Maybe a lot of good democrats in power know this and don't want us to get our hopes up?

paternalistic line, secondly at the end of the day if the perpetrators are shown clearly enough to be crooks it can only be of benefit to everyone else.If you believe that certain members of the leadership are staying quiet for the greater good it can only be because of some kind of strategic game as far as I can see.

How can anyone harp on how Kerry did badly when he 'lost' the election by such small margins in the swing states...as little as 1% of the vote in Ohio?

What are people talking about?

If we just had equal ballot access the people who turned away from the voting lines would have put Kerry over the top. Assuming, of course, the black boxes didn't push Bush even more over the top.

48. Here's a link to the transcript....
It's not posted yet, but will probably be posted tomorrow. I didn't have time to watch the entire interview because I was on my way out. It just really caught my attention when I heard her begin to talk about the election, and so I stopped to listen. It was almost odd the way she said to him, "so Bush won fair and square right?"....as if she was almost baiting him, and that's when he answered, "yeah, he won fair and square", and then went on to talk about other things.
