CNN just mentioned the Kerry video

that was sent to "his supportors"--Bill Schneider from CNN/
He used it in the context of a story of moral values in the USA--saying most seem to be saying that the Right is taking over (implying that is what kerry said)---but Schnieder says that actually we, as the nation--at least us regualar folks are actully more tolerant (used some stats saying that now most 62% say it is ok for gays to be in the military compared to a much lower percentage when the policy went into effect).

1. It's really amazing and historic the way Kerry is playing this

He was smart enough to completely bypass the media, in essence slamming them for being worthless and forcing them out of the loop. It makes the media look like idiots when they have to report on a "direct to supporters" message. I love it!

If TV media was smart, they'd start kissing Kerry's butt now. Obviously they're not very smart.

it's pretty hard to do with a don't ask don't tell policy -- suddenly EVERYONE'S gay, go figure.

13. I just watched the video... Man, I like this guy

Notice how he is calling on us to help him in the weeks and months to come? Notice how he is calling on us to have heart and strength?

Maybe he is only referring to the Health Care Plan for Every Child and maybe I am reading too much into this but it gives me hope that he's got something up his sleeve.

I wonder how pissed off he is about all of this. You know he as a clearer picture than we do and it's got to bug the shit out of him. This is sort of like the Cuban Missle Crisis and GW's the Russians. Are we the blockade?

I hope this comes to a head soon, I can't take the suspense. You know, if I had known how intense politics could get, I would have paid more attention a long time ago. I love history and it's awesome to see it unfold before my very eyes. It's an honor to be a part of it, in my very small and insignifigant way.
