1. Finally, a sane voice on all this.... |
|
Bev knows what she's doing, and explains the practical problems very well. This election will not be overturned before the inauguration, but if the investigation continues full bore and fraud is proved later, the practical effect will be the same.

At he same time, I can't help but be sad: Does this mean DEFINATELY 4 more years?

4. You would do well, IMO |
|
to count on that, while holding a little hope (if you must) on some other outcome. But then, I'm the sort of person who likes to "expect the worst and then either be pleasantly surprised or well-prepared." YMMV.

If we work hard now to get rid of the machines and get behind good congressional and senatorial candidates (not merely Democrats... depending upon your area, perhaps not even Democrats at all), it will be two more years, followed by impeachment.
Folks, its time to work locally. That's right now, not a year and a half from now. As soon as possible, in fact, because there's a lot to do in the next two years.
Everyone here should consider running for office themselves, even if that office is just the school board, or even if its just a token candidacy against an entrenched incumbent (there should be no unopposed Rethugs, ever again). Those of us who decide not to run ourselves should look around at the earliest opportunity for someone we can support who will run, and offer to help. The most important offices right now are not the top-level offices, but the local offices that have duties pertaining to the conduct of elections. Many of those critical offices are going to be voted on less than a year from now in the off-year municipal elections.

Hi all,
Sage advice. Next round I'm playing for keeps; I think we all are.
Get behind someone good, who believes and has a track record suporting transperency in government. My personal belief is that all else falls into place when we eliminate the secrecy.
Just some thoughts...
Warmly,
George p.s. I would still like to see this years vote fair, accurate and transperent. We can only hope.

This makes me sad too. I kept hoping that something would be able to be proven in time and that it would make people wake up. Guess it is not going to happen.
Oh well at least I know one thing for sure now there is definitely no God. I was leaning towards it more and more lately now I am certain. The bad people just keep on winning! Meanwhile we who try to believe in justice for our fellow man keep getting slapped back down and told to grin and bear it, and all the while to just keeep blindly thanking the man in the sky no matter how rotten things get because we should just be greatful to be alive.
It is just easier on the heart not to believe in anything any more and just survive on a day to day basis and block out any hope that it will ever get better. That's easier to deal with because feeling hope and then having the carpet ripped out from beneath you is worse. It is just easier to say from the begining "Life's a Bitch and then you Die," and your never going to change that fact. Sorry I know this sounds negative but it is the way I honestly feel. Just tired of the guys in the black hats always walking away the victors, and trying to pretend that it isn't true.

What's the Irvine study refuting the Berkley study which she mentions? I can't find mention of it here or on google.
