Poll question: Who is still angry or upset that Kerry conceded? |
|
We did a ton of work to get Kerry elected and we won. But because of his concession, the truth may never come out. If he were to unconcede now, America could be informed of the truth and Florida could be recounted - resulting in Bush being removed and jailed. If Kerry is working behind the scenes, his strategy has failed because Florida is not being recounted and not enough pressure is being put on Ohio officials to make them honest. He needs to jump back in and fight.

3. HE WON. Get with reality. There are only 9 million in Christ right |
|
That's not enough voters to defeate the 55 plus million of us who voted against him.

Look, I wish he had won. I really really wish he had won.
But I think it was really close and Bush pulled it out. Bush ran a unpredentedly squalid, nasty campaign of demagogery and negativity... and it worked. He convinced enough Americans to vote for him.
Kerry got close, but no cigar.
I don't want to start a flame war, but I have looked and looked at the evidence for a conspiracy, and I just don't buy it. :( Were there irregularities, nastiness, and intimidation? Yes, and they need to be investigated. But was it enough to tip the election? Right now I'm just not convinced.
Also, I find your assumption that only people "in Christ" supported Bush a somewhat depressing example of the type of unproductive grousing that's been going on here since 11/2. Sure he got a boost from the Christian right, and it's disturbing. But until we're willing to ask why a large segment of (not necessarily fundamentalist) Americans supported Bush, we're just going to keep wandering in the wilderness.

13. SORRY. You've been duped by Bush. Kerry did win. |
|
Check out the ananlysis of UC Berkeley report which shows Kerry won Florida by 19,000 votes. Look at the exit poll data. The odds are 250 milion to one against Bush having won. Face it. The odds are overwhelmingly against your point of view.

18. You can't just selectively |
|
pick the studies you agree with and discount the others. For every study that shows Kerry did win there is one that shows the opposite ie MIT. If there is one immutable truth in this world it's statistics and statiticions can prove anything and i mean ANYTHING depending on there assumptions and models

4. Angry is not the word for how I feel, betrayed is closer to it |

What about I got your back if you have mine. It makes me sick to be doped by the DNC again. Yes, The DNC, they all come from the same party and work together.
I am going to march all over down town Wash, D.C. this weekend and go on and on about the stolen election, even if I am alone it will make me feel so much better about everything.... I can't wait to see the looks on people's faces when I walk by with my sign. I am strong, I am an American, I have rights no matter what they say, I will be free, even if it is just me, I will march.

9. I would be if conceding actually meant anything... |
|
...but considering that he can take it back whenever he wants, it doesn't bother me. I think that it is actually a shrewd political move to have the 3rd parties bring up the challenges initially and have the democrats crash the party.."hmmm, there's a recount going on here?? awww heck, since we're here I guess we'll join in"...then raise bloody hell if some strong evidence is found...
By the way, I don't think that the 3rd parties just got on the recount bandwagon for nothing...true part of the reason is for publicity and to be seen as the champions of democracy...but I believe that there were also behind-the-scenes deals made to encourage them to do what the more established dem party couldn't do without a political backlash... very smart...

had Kerry NOT conceded, I believe these re-count issues would be getting addressed more quickly. Ohio would be hurrying up, FLordia, etc etc, they would be getting pressure from the White House to speed up the recounts.

Had John Kerry not conceded, Katherine Blackwell would have stalled the same way Harris did in 2000. The media would have framed the Democratic party as a bunch of sore losers, and "shame on them for putting the country through such a crisis in a time of war." The only hope for this election is "hard evidence" of fraud.
I do not blame John Kerry one bit. He ran a good campaign. He made a decision not to contest the election publicly on Nov 3rd, and I not fault him for that. That does not mean that he is not participating in the investigations, nor does it mean that he will not ensure that every vote is counted.
Kerry needed to win enough votes to be outside the "margin of theft". That, unfortunately, did not happen.

He wouldn't have gotten anything done anyway. Remember 2000? The tapes Bev found would've been long gone, if the the rotten cheats thought there was a chance someone would be looking for them.

And in some ways I am still upset, although not to the extent that I was the day after the election. I was mad as hell on that day. I felt really let down by the person that I'd supported. He said one thing, and then he did another. While the republican claims of flip-flopping by Kerry were always pretty lame, I was questioning that when he conceded.
I think he did a disservice to the people who supported him. The quick abandonment of this cause has probably made some people VERY wary of supporting someone in 08 to the extent they did this time around.

so I don't have any doubt that he won. We won. But I also have to believe that this is the overarching reason that he conceded and it's not a comfortable truth to face. http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/BAK411A.htmlHappy Holiday! Wiley

22. Personally, I don't care why Kerry conceded |
|
What ticks me off is there are literally thousands of election irregularities that cast serious doubt on the legitimacy of the election, and not a PENNY of the DNC's formidable GELAC fund is being used to help investigate. On the contrary, the DNC appears content to sit back and brush up on the bible while we all donate time and money to various OTHER groups, to help THEM investigate these matters. And thank god for each of them. They, at least, still believe in democracy and our Constitution.
Some say Kerry's waiting till it's "safe" to join the fray. When will that be, I wonder? 2008, perhaps??
