Letters to the editor - America needs help putting 2 & 2 together on fraud

What I wrote to my local paper:

How is it Mr. Colin Powell cannot accept the results of the Ukrainian
elections because the exit polls didn't match the election results, but he
can accept the results of the elections here in the United States when the
exit polls showed Kerry winning in a landslide?

Fill in the blanks: (Powell):"We cannot accept this result as legitimate
because it does not meet international standards and because there has not
been an investigation of the numerous and credible reports of fraud and
abuse," he said. "It is still not too late for ______ authorities to find a
solution that respects the will of the __________ people."

Our local paper allows us to write once every thirty days.

They do check to make sure your letters aren't cut and paste jobs from the web. I did have to present my case that I didn't cut and paste my last letter - I had posted it here so when the editor did his search he thought that I had cut and pasted it. When I explained what I had done he printed it.

If you use talking points make sure you put them in your own words.

I do hope they publish this. Just when you think this admin. couldn't behave any weirder well...Everytime I hear the "looking into voter fraud" on TV my head spins and I realize it's Ukraine.

I guess we shouldn't be suprised. Whenever we blame another country of doing something, you can be sure we've done more of it, more often and with more catastrophic results.

18. Mass mailings

During the debates, when I couldn't get through to the online polls to cast my vote, I went on line to get lists of newspapers from some of the battleground states. Here are two lists that I found: http://newslink.org/ohnews.html http://newslink.org/flnews.html And newslinks.org has lists for all states. I wrote a letter, and then went to each newspaper on the list and sent the same letter, or slightly modified, to all the papers that I could. It was actually simple, once I got the hang of it. If you type your letter in Word, then copy it, you can go into the newspaper website, find their on line e-mail or letter template (some make this really easy, others aren't quite as sophisticated) and paste your letter in. Some papers required registration, but no fees were involved. Most have rules that require the letter writer to include their name, address, e-mail and phone number. College newspapers were more strict, with some requiring that you state your affiliation with their school. Also, most require letters to be 200 words or less, some 150 words. Others allowed 500 words (yippee!).

Anyway, you can e-mail a lot of letters to editors in small towns all across the country in a relatively short amount of time this way.

I think that Colin Powell has given us his own words to use for OUR...and by that I mean....WE THE PEOPLE.....revolt against this Regime. What tells the Ukranians that they have won? Their gut...their hearts....say i'ts so. Just as our hearts and our gut...say it's so. We have just as much proof as they do.

Let us take it to the streets.....let's see democracy in action...right here where it all started. It is indeed time again.
