Unbefreeekingbelievable!! |
|
CNN just showed Bush being interviewed outside in Crawford. A reporter asked him about Ukraine and Bush said how concerned they were about vfraud and all the irregularities. He then took about 5-6 more questions. Do you think anyone asked him the obvious follow-up question?
I am so sickI could :puke:

33. Longer than that, if nothing's done. |
|
If nothing's done, of course, then it'll be longer than 4 years. It may not be Bush in four years, but if it worked this year they're not going to stop tampering with votes (and all associated hypocrisy) just because Bush's term ran out.

any press who would have asked that question have been excluded.
CNN needs to have its ass kicked with emails and faxes every day. They have joined FOX as an unquestioning source for administration propaganda

22. "We" do challenge them. DEMS in power refuse to, |
|
I'd love for once to see a high-profile DEM laugh in Wolf Blitzers or Judy Woodruff's face and say-
"You guys are so full of propaganda- and here is why...(current examples)Since when did (CNN, NBC, whatever) become the Rush Limbaugh program?... No, no, no-I'm not finished- here are some more lies about DEMs you personally have told and never corrected- allow me to read from the transcript I brought..."
etc etc- I would shit my pants if saw a DEM stand up for the truth in that way. Not a pundit or hollywood star- but an actual Democrat.
To me, it seems like the only way to fix it- CALL THEM ON IT-TO THEIR FACE.

27. No, it's not their function to do so. |
|
You never saw Bush** or Cheney** do that, did you? Because that'd be a nail in their political coffin. It's the function of surrogates to get in their face and call the corporate whore media on its hypocrisy. Surrogates ike Randi, and Dr. Dean, and us, to name just a few.

For one thing, there is a logical flaw in your statement- there is no real need for the GOP to "challenge" an entity that is on their side, is there?
But even still, they do say certain things that are messages to their Rush-ditto base about media-DEMS cant even do that.
I have indeed seen top Republicans, including Bush "take on" the media.
In Bush's most recent press conference, in fact- he accused the media of "stirring up partisanism" and accused a "fiesty" reporter of "being against the will of the people" since he asked too many questions.
I've seen actual Republican Congressman use the term "Liberal media" and "Biased press." Actual Republicans in office, including Dick Cheney have suggested that people watch FOX.
I think you are incorrect.

18. Repukes always work the up-is-down, black-is-white angle |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 02:40 PM by anamandujano
It has been working for them for a long time, and the press is PAID to go along. Emails, boycotts, etc---forget it, they are a business arm of the repukes. It's an easy area of their business to write off for not earning any money since they make up for it elsewhere. And, needless to say, propaganda delivery systems are the same as advertising, expensive but invaluable.
If the world press doesn't go after this, then THEY F*CKING DESERVE what BushCo dishes out, and THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE.
They know we didn't vote him in either time and that our hands are tied because of the pervasiveness of their reach, including the whore press, including our complicit "leaders".

19. What they are doing is projecting this onto the Ukraine election. It is |
|
similar to you having committed a murder, and then forming a movement to help find the killer. The last person anyone would suspect as being the killer is you. So in fighting against the voter fraud in the Ukraine, the repubs have now created a greater distance to the Truth that voter fraud has actually occurred here in the usa. Now in order for a dumb american to believe that voter fraud took place in the usa not only would they have to believe that it occurred, they would also have to believe that we are hippocrates.

They can hardly fault the voters for wanting to ensure that fair elections were held here as well, and as many have posted, that is how this challenge must be framed.
Use their own words and allegations against them.

We're getting a lot of great quotes from Shrubby, Inc. That includes Colin Powell who delivered some whammies, reported in Friday's NYT.
If Kerry and Company DO build a solid case and break with Election Fraud, I'd love to see Shrubby & Friends each eat scrambled eggs (with Pancakes from the DU to gag on--Ha!)

32. At least we've got them on the Offensive! |
|
That's what we must remember. Bush felt he HAD to come out and make a statement...put a 'spin' on things. So for once, HE's on the offensive. And VERY MUCH so because he even took questions from reporters (no matter how 'staged'). Remember he almost never does that.
And the best part IS, it wasn't a very good 'offensive' at that. Just like in the "Wizard of Oz," I think we're attributing far too much power to the man behind the curtain.
Then again, maybe not...

What is wrong with you people?
How about covering the election fraud and the recounts? How about covering the mathematical improbability that the exit polls could be off that much beyond the margin of error in 10 of 11 swing states? You focus on the Ukrainian election, but we have the same situation here and you are silent. You should feel very ashamed.
I can't believe that our press has been silenced like this!
