Ohio Dems ask Bush appointed judge to intervene on counting rules
{snip}-- The lawsuit asked U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson to order Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to impose uniform standards for counting provisional votes on all 88 counties. Democrats want the judge to take action quickly - before the results of the election are certified.

Watson, who was appointed by Bush, has not set a hearing.
Kerry's time is running out for the eletorate to take him seriously.

5. I disagree. Public must demand fair process from officials & judges
I disagree. Public must demand fair process from officials & judges.
If the public doesn't have enough interest to insist on a fair process, they won't have any say in any government actions that affect them.

2. Did the Democrats think they wouldn't pay the price for
allowing as many judicial appointments as they did?

We can count on one hand the number of appointments they held up.

Clinton had well over a hundred held up during his eight years.

Too much hypocrisy.

4. Public must take more responsibility for demanding fair election process
The Dems have been remiss in not paying enough attention to registration and vote process, and pay big prices for it; but I understand they are much outmanded moneywise and staffwise and with local/state officials.
Its up to the public to pay more attention to vote process issues and demand fair process; and not let clearly bieased judges get away with making clearly unreasonable and illegal rulings. This can only occur if the public allows it.

6. Kerry is the only one that can intercede
Because Kerry is the only party that can be irreparably(sp) harmed he is the only one that can bring suit with any legal effect. It's time he forgets about 2008 for now and acts decisively
