What have we learned from this election?
A simple quote to remember when thinking about this: If you did not learn anything then you can not grow.

27. I think that is very inaccurate, I live in a red state but have always
been a democrat. I write letters to my congressman, senators, and news media every day. I also speak to college students weekly about what goes on in politics and why. I strongly take offense to your red states suck attitude. I may live in a red state but that doesn't make me any less of a democrat. I believe in people, not just their party affiliation. People's actions tell me what kind of person they are and you have no right to judge someone based on the state they live in

2. Blue voters live in red states and red voters live in blue...

Election fraud aside, the one thing I've learned personally is:

Never over-estimate the American electorate or the media.

Lurking Bush supporters, that doesn't mean I necessarily think you're dumb. It means I think many votes for Bush are based on misinformation, dubious smears, plain old wrong thinking, and denial. It means that Democrats perhaps thought everybody would get the message about voting for a candidate who attacked a nation for false reasons and without any end game, a very ill-advised invasion which will end up giving those who would attack us exactly what they want. We thought we didn't have to go negative, but we should have.

5. Never underestimate the ability of people to be led
or their level of stupidity. Remember, Claude Pepper, venerable Democrat of FL, lost a Senate bid in the late 40s because his opponant told people that his brother was a homo sapien and that his sister was a practicing heterosexual.

Now the GOP just tells the yokels that liberals will take away their Bibles and destroy marriage by allowing committed gay couples to wed.

6. Until we eliminate E voting, or have mandatory Paper audit trails, we lose

All evidence and data point to the same conclusion.

Until we eliminate Electronic Voting or have a mandatory
voter verified paper audit trail for all Computer Voting
machines, we will lose the next Presidential Election
as well, regardless of who we run, how well they run,
or how hard we work.

I have not come to this conclusion quickly or easily,
and I am not happy about it, but to me, any objective
look at the raw data of the historically accurate exit
polls to the swing state discrepancies, leads to the
irrefutable conclusion that this is true.

Or, to be more conservative, as Dr. Freeman pointed out,
the odds that this conclusion is correct is 662,000 to 1.

This doesn't mean that we do not need to change our approach,
or even that Kerry ran a good campaign, because I strongly
believe he did not.

All it means, is that until we reform Computer Voting, we're
like a person who is playing poker with someone who has
5 aces up their sleeves.

If we don't get the word out about e-voting and stop the cheating, democracy is dead.

15. You have to believe in Miracles?
This election proves, beyond a shadow of doubt, that math is of no use to us anymore: the Miracle of bxxx being elected - against astronomical odds - has happened.

*****************

Nope. No Miracle here. Just plain old fashioned vote stealing, done with computers, for the first(?) time.

That all that really matters is: Who gets to count the votes. Used to be thousands of eyes counted our votes, this time just a few bytes oversaw the whole she-bang.

17. No, mathematics, reason, logic, science
are good tools- they PROVE evidence of fraud. (Even if they were used to implement fraud.)

But when a good chunk of our electorate believes in spirits, and creationism...well, we've got problems...

We might be victims of vote fraud and much more, but we have to fight back and stand up for ourselves:

http://mathewgross.com/blog/archives/001041.html

"Watch Dan Rather apologize for not getting his facts straight, humiliated before the eyes of America, voluntarily undermining his credibility and career of over thirty years. Observe Donna Brazille squirm as she is ridiculed by Bay Buchanan, and pronounced irrelevant and nearly non-existent. Listen as Donna and Nancy Pelosi and Senator Charles Schumer take to the airwaves saying that they have to go back to the drawing board and learn from their mistakes and try to be better, more likable, more appealing, have a stronger message, speak to morality. Watch them awkwardly quote the bible, trying to speak the new language of America. Surf the blogs, and read the comments of dismayed, discombobulated, confused individuals trying to figure out what they did wrong. Hear the cacophony of voices, crying out, “Why did they beat me?”

And then ask anyone who has ever worked in a domestic violence shelter if they have heard this before.

They will tell you, every single day.

The answer is quite simple. They beat us because they are abusers..."
