51 CAPITAL "You Stole My Vote" MARCH - December 12th

Our votes were violated in the November election.

Its time for all citizens to stand up and demand our votes are counted fully, fairly, and accurately.

On December 12th, two groups will descend on every State Capital:

  • Citizens demanding the integrity of our voting systems be restored and protected, and
  • State electors arriving in advance of meeting the next day to vote for President and Vice President

Send a clear message to your electors: Do NOT ratify the election with your vote until state election officials provide a complete, verified, accurate vote count!

Join us in a people's uprising, a citizen protest. Converge on your State or Federal Capital at noon local time on December 12th.

For details and to get involved go to: http://www.51capitalmarch.com

16. Why not this Saturday in sympathy with OHIO demonstration?
Why next week when its so close to the official stealing of the election?

Who have you contacted? Moveon? ACT? The local demo offices?
I got plenty of calls to get out and vote. Are these groups willing to set up a phone canvass to get out the protesters?

23. Go the the web site
MoveOn announced in their November meetup that they would not pursue activities contesting the 2004 vote but would work for legislation reinstating vote protections into our voting systems. Most major organizations have been contacted. Now, its your turn: the way to get organizations to support and publicize the December 12 protests is to email them and ask them to do so. If enough of us do this, they will come to support our citizen's uprising.

Go to the web site www.51capitalmarch.com. it is our "organization" leading up to December 12th. Use it! It has information to educate, and tools to help everyone make this happen.

Sign up to participate in Chain-Mail-News
Email the list of organizations located in Chain-Mail Archives (date:11-28-2004)
Email your elected representatives (also on the site). Soon we will have an email media list posted too.

The Electors meet the day after this march, on the 13th, in their respective state capitols. Most likely they'll be in town by the 12th--and we want to make our voices heard where it counts!

40. Nationwide Mobilization
How fast can you mobilize a nationwide protest? If this were the Ukraine we would still be in the streets (my preference). But this is America where protests need to be scheduled like football games. WE can do anything, but getting the we to be more than us, that takes time and effort (such as emailing everyone you know and posting everywhere you know).

They other challenge with an Ohio-centric nationwide "in support of.." protest is turnout. People will more likely turnout out of some self-state interest. I, myself, am motivated by my votes and my children's' votes going to someone other than we voted for. There was vote fraud here in Houston - one scam involving the same type machine I voted on. That's personal. And 'personal' motivates!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of Ohio and support their protests fully as I support the investigative efforts there. Indeed, I have suspected that if Karl Rove made any mistakes election night, it would be in Ohio, driven by panic that they were losing the election and HAD TO WIN OHIO. However, the message of both the Fair Vote March on Ohio (12/4) and ours transcends any one election and goes to the heart of what needs protecting: our basic rights, and the health and preservation of our democracy and our way of life as free Americans. Are we making demands with respect to this election? Yes, in the context that we will tolerate no more stolen elections.

This is not a partisan issue we protest, it is an American citizen issue. We will bring the stripping of our voting power to an end, whether it takes one month or twenty years. So, let's try to involve every American citizen of conscience and not turn these protests into "sour grapes" events easily dismissed by major media.

That's my take on it.

28. This is about the compromising of the power of our votes
This is not a sour grape protest. We are addressing the loss of our democracy. Tell them if they care about their children and futures one twit, they would get off their asses, stand up like patriots, and come to the defense of their democracy and their freedoms.

Send them to the web siteand have them read "Blackbox Voting" and "What Happened", and if they wine, "Well, what can WE do?", punch them it the mouth! Or wait 10 days until the fraud investigations start to peak i intensity. They'll change their tunes when it no longer requires courage.

I've just sent off help requests to the following organizations. Though, I'm probably not as effective as someone more knowledgeable in this would be... Please pick up the gauntlet and help us find local and national organizations that can help. Call, write, or email these organizations and any ones you can find that could help.

I'm basically thinking of it as, not letting Kiev, Ukraine show us up!

If you can't make it to your capilal city, then march upon the newsstations in your area. Or anywhere for that matter. But let's get consolidated, and let's get this done.

71. Texas, anyone???
I'd like to participate in Austin, TX if anything's happening there, but website shows nothing. I'm sorry I don't have time to be an organizer. Anyone know anything going on?

Thanks!
