Remember to take some time out from the du to call/fax your senator today
We need to change the momentum and get them to agree to filibuster Gonzales.

The following is from patrickhenrythinktank.org

Call your Senators and the Judiciary Committee
Monday, November 29, 2004
Change the momentum NOW!
The Bush Administration wants to appoint treaty-breaker Alberto "Torture Memo" Gonzales to be our next Attorney General. They want the highest law enforcement officer in the nation to be the man who advised that we could ignore the terms of long-standing treaties and torture prisoners in complete defiance of Article VI of the Constitution, which defines treaties as higher laws than U.S. laws under the Constitution itself.
The Senate Democratic Leadership has determined that they consider Gonzales to be their friend and therefore there will be no opposition to this alarming nomination.

WE SAY NO.
On Monday, November 29, 2004, call or fax all of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee (see below), Minority Leader Reid and your state Senators and demand that they oppose this nomination to the utmost, including filibuster if necessary. If we get the momentum against Gonzales going now, it can become a tide that prevents the architect of Guantanamo Bay Camp X-ray and Abu Ghraib from being our next chief prosecutor in the United States.

2. e-mailed kennedy
funny- his phone isn't working.
told him he had the stature and the conscinece to raise the issue of the election, and asked him to sponsor the motion from the house (John Olver from MA has signed on) to hold off accepting the electoral votes.
