"One thing you can count on is that this fight is not over," the former vice presidential candidate told supporters

It was good to hear those words from Edwards.

1. Any day now I am hoping that Kerry/Edwards announce their
plans to contest the election based on the reviews and recounts underway. Let the fireworks begin.

2. but it seems to me that Nov 2 is behind him.
at least that is how I read his few comments

.....In an interview before the farewell tour began, Edwards said Democrats need to be sure that voters understand their party shares the same values as the people Edwards grew up with in the Carolinas.

"In order for us to unite the country ... those voters have to believe that our values - my values and the values of other Democratic leaders - are the same values they believe in. That means we have to be touching them, reaching out to them."....

3. I recall
That Edwards is a Presidential hopeful, no? He seems to have been on that like a deer on musk.

So, I assume he wants to keep a high profile with some spunky flavor to it. Le'ts hope he has real conviction in the statement and it is not just post-election pandering.

6. Al Franken won't even consider the possibility of fraud. Cheney him.
As for Michael Moore, he's still too quiet.

The hell with 2008, anyway. Just talk about 2004.

18. If something isn't done NOW...this year
The only ones winning elections from now on out will be the Republicans.

And then the terrorists really HAVE won.

4. Timing
Does the timing of Edwards' farewell tour seem interesting in light of all the news out today?

Smokescreen?

Yes, it seems odd to me. In fact the whole idea of a "farewell tour" seems odd. Don't remember this happening before, but maybe I wasn't paying attention...

They need to do a "Tour of Truth" with election fraud issues exposed as main topic.

I'd love for the farewell tour to tie into something else, or be a smokescreen for something else!

7. If they waited
for Bush to be ordained, and then blasted them with real evidence and an actual court case, it could be the downfall of the whole Rep. party, instead of just contesting the election. Has anyone noticed how Pelosi has been out and out gleaming lately with a real shit eatin grin? I still think something is up.

11. I hate to be a drag, but...
he also said this:

"The voters did not know where we stood and what we believed in," he said. "The American people need to know we are going to keep this country safe."

Sounds to me, like the election is over for him.

14. I know politics is about tact, but don't you wish...
he had said it like this:

"The voters that actually cast ballots for Bush need to begin caring enough about their country to pay some damn attention to what this guy is up to."

I have friends who are Republicans and I totally respect the values they talk about in association with that. What gets me is that Bush isn't accomplishing what they're talking about! A smaller government? Hello, massive expansion! Less intrusion into our lives? Hello, Patriot Act!

How much better off would this country be if Republicans actually governed based on the principles they claim as territory? :-(

Take a look at the photos from a demonstration in California

"The demonstration, organized by the Wellstone Democratic Club of Silicon Valley, and by The Dean Democratic Club of Silicon Valley, was to protest the Media's near complete silence concerning voting irregularities in the 2004 presidential election."

21. Kerry Needs to Step Up to the Plate ... NOW !
Hi all - I've been lurking on these pages for the last month since the "election" , and finally got registered here at DU ( my lifesaver to be amongst like-minded patriots ). I just posted this first message on another pertinent thread, but since my young boys need dinner prepared, I thought I'd repost it here!

Today is a sad day for our troops in Iraq , as I believe we broke the monthly record of casualties. This might be a good time to use that arguement to try to convince John Kerry to step up to the plate , and challenge this fraudulent election. We all saw his bravery during, and immediately after his service in Viet Nam. He spoke in front of the Senate back then ... now he IS a Senator and all we get is ... SILENCE ?!? How many more young soldiers will die if Bush is allowed to remain in office unchallenged ? If Kerry wants to do nothing to right this wrong ( the Stolen Election ) , then at least do something to help his comrades in uniform , for chrissakes !

(election) SILENCE = (Iraqi) DEATH

I know we'd all like to believe that Kerry & Co. are all working behind the scenes, about to spring the "Proof" , but we really are getting down to the wire. Perhaps he's learned something from the way the 2000 debacle was handled. Perhaps not. If not,and he allows this theft of democracy to occur without a fight, his "Reporting for Duty" salute at the convention will seem particularly offensive. I want
( I NEED ) to believe that Kerry's got the goods and is simply waiting for the right moment/opportunity to lay it all out. In the meantime, families are losing their loved ones at an ever increasing rate. Get off the bench John . We need you !
