I'd love to catch Blackwell in an out & out lie. Shove his own "hogwash" back in his face.

"Damschroder is the former Executive Director of the Franklin County Republican Party, and sources close to the Board of Elections tell the Free Press that Damschroder and Ohio’s Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell met with President Bush in Columbus on Election Day".

"The Cleveland Barons announced that George W. Bush of Homeworth, Ohio and John Kerry of Lorain, Ohio will drop the ceremonial pucks when the Barons battle their North Division-rival Hamilton Bulldogs on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:00pm on the National City Rink in Gund Arena. The announcement was made by Barons President, Michael T. Lehr."

How far is that from Columbus where he met with Blackwell?

meet with blackwell. blackwell was head the campaign in ohio. if that was considered a conflict, then they should have met.

so why would blackwell deny it? because it did like illegal? then he shouldn't have been the head of the campaign then

36. And isn't it weird that "Uncle Ken" Blackwell and Katherine Harris
were both secretaries of state AND co-chairs of their respective state, Ohio and Florida, Bush/Cheney campaigns?

Their alleged Columbus Election Day meeting is quite probable, but still unproven. I'd say run with the allegation anyhow.

15. Dallas, huh?
"Additional information on the buying of vote riggers with Saudi and former Enron funds has been obtained. The epicenter for the vote rigging operation is Dallas, Texas, and the operation may involve retired FBI agents who used a well-established "good ole boy" network to arrange for access to polling precincts by electronic voting machine technicians who took advantage of various November 2 security "lockdowns" to illegally alter the tabulation of votes in favor of Bush." - Wayne Madsen

18. Here's an excerpt:
"Bush’s visit to the German Village campaign headquarters made a lot of other supporters happy, as well, although some expressed disappointment that they, too, didn’t get to meet or speak to the president.

Outside, a group of about 50 Bush campaign volunteers, supporters and onlookers stood in the rain along S. High Street near a parked Columbus police SWAT vehicle.

The group cheered and several waved Bush-Cheney placards when the president and first lady emerged from a side entrance. Bush took a few seconds to wave to the crowd before his motorcade took off.

"Well, that was a quick visit," said Karen Musick, a Columbus resident and Bush supporter. Musick said she was disappointed that Bush didn’t linger."

Nothing about Blackwell.

Of course, I'm sure Bushwell wouldn't allow any actual proof to be left behind. Must have snuck him into the campaign headquarters during Bush's visit through an underground Batcave tunnel.

of statewide Republican Party Bush re-election campaign strategizing and a few weeks later the SOS announced the purchase of the Sequoia machines... So I believe there very wall may have been a meeting or two between Bush, Blackwell and Karl Rove, I can just picture it.

Subject: Bush Visit to Columbus Campaign Headquarters - 11/2
To: riskind@dispatch.com, shunt@dispatch.com

In your article entitled, " 'Thanks' from President
Makes Her Day," (I found it online) it was
specifically reported that President Bush made a stop
at the campaign headquarters on Election Day. There
have been rumours floating around, specifically
"sources close to the Board of Elections" told
FreePress.org, that George Bush had a meeting with
Kenneth Blackwell, the Ohio SoS on Nov. 2. It seems as
if the President has been placed at the campaign
headquarters on election day. My question is
concerning the whereabaouts of Blackwell on Election
Day. Could the two have met? Was it logistically
possible? Tonight in an interview on MSNBC, Kenneth
Blackwell said that it was "hogwash" that he met with
the President on Election Day. This meeting, of
course, would be very newsworthy, given that Blackwell
had a dual role as Sec. of State and a leader in
Bush's Ohio campaign. And as it happens, in the State
that has generated most the high-profile election news
in the last month. From voting irregularities to the
close unofficial results to the Green & Libertarian
sponsored recounts to Jesse Jackson's visits in the
last two days, whether or not this meeting took place
has national implications. Can you shed some light on
this matter?

I am a private citizen, concerned about the integrity
of our election processes. If you don't feel
comfortable corresponding with me, I urge you to
research this on your own, and/or contact Keith
Olbermann at MSNBC who interviewed Blackwell tonight.
Thanks for your time.

But all they had was an opening remark by Bush, yuck, and some Q&A's from the press. Hoped that maybe there was a video with Blackwell in the background. Is it possible that there was a local station covering it that had video?

32. Bush has been placed at Ohio Campaign HQ on 11/2....
I find it highly unlikely that his state campaign leader would not be present at campaign headquarters during a visit by the President, his candidate, on election day. We need to locate Blackwell on 11/2. We've got Bush.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/11/30/71935/724

The Free Press reported that Franklin County Board of Elections Director Matt Damschroder deliberately withheld voting machines from predominantly black Democratic wards in Columbus, and dispersed some of the machines to affluent suburbs in Franklin County.

Damschroder is the former Executive Director of the Franklin County Republican Party. Sources close to the Board of Elections told the Free Press that Damschroder and Ohio’s Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell met with President George W. Bush in Columbus on Election Day.
