Who guards the ballots/machines/tabulators after election day?
This is something that has been bugging me since day one. Does anyone know how they are stored? who has access to them?
I don't trust anyone at this point and I hope Bev got enough in Florida, but how about other states??

2. The companies who are in question of committing fraud.
And we have to file a court order to view those results which could easily be manipulated during this period.

This is my understanding.

6. Who Guards the Machines
That was the answer I was hoping not to hear. Just a few clicks, and delete, overwrite, shred the evidence away. But what about those other pesky items we've seen pop up?

The technical explanation seems to hinge on the ability not just to manipulate individual computers, but to actually intercept downloads or change the way they register on central tabulators. If the fraud was as widespread as one would suspect, there are going to be a lot of loose ends (both data and human). My concern is that even if we expose a few, some RW Judge would insist that if you don't have a smoking gun on decisive vote totals, that it doesn't matter. Imagine having to account for EVERY stolen vote!

We may still need a whistleblower (or two, or three).

4. In the counties in FL that use optical scanners
when the poll is closed, two tapes with the results are printed out. One tape is attached to the scanner/ballot box and the other is post on the precinct door.

The boxes are transported to the SOE's storage facility and the results are transmitted via modem to the county SOE offices. The next day the local SOE compares the totals that were transmitted, with the tapes that were posted at the precincts.

Then those results are sent via the Internet to the DOS in Tallahassee and the SOE sends a report, with just the totals, for comparison at the State Dept.

In the meantime, the ballots themselves are transferred from the scanner boxes to a blue envelope that is locked and the envelops are then locked in a vault. After the election is certified, the ballots are removed from the locked envelopes. The envelops are put away to reuse in the next election and the ballots are stored by the SOE and are available for examination upon request.

The ballots in FL are currently available for counting and examining. You would not be allowed to touch the ballots yourself, but for a fee you can have them shown to you.

12. In NY State once impounded, the County Sheriff is tasked w/ guarding them.
A Sheriff is the highest elected law enforcement authority in each county in NY.
