Is it time to outlaw fascism and define it's practitioners as traitors?
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 03:24 AM by lthuedk
After all, Ann Coulter calls liberals traitors. Isn't it time to bring the beast out into the light? Why hold back? The opposition hasn't. They've got plans. Plans that remove Constitutional protections and rights. Plans that insure your obedience and subordination.

And, what are our plans? To offer up saints in 2008 against a militant corporatism that absolutely will not compromise?

Look, Karl Rove wants and will get his permanent fascist state. You can call it whatever you like, but it still walks in jack boots and talks in terms of fear and power. It feeds on the weak for ever increasing profits and uses military power to wipe out any resistance. It creates disaster and fear and spews lies to justify its aggression and domination over the masses. A domination paid for with the blood of other people's children.

Its time to call fascism out, define it in the faces of all the gullible evangelists that praised its song, the greedy corporatists that went for the quick tax break buck, and the weak politicians on both sides of the aisle who forgot our history. A thoughtless moment that turns to catastrophe, and what do we get?

Fascism is treason. Don't dilute it. Don't deny it. Say it!

Then, destroy it! God damn it!

4. Hell, Reagan was a traitor when he negotiated with Iran
...before he was Prez. He offered them money and arms -- if only they'd hang onto those embassy hostages until after the election.

The Iranians did -- and Iran-Contra resulted thereafter.

As far as I'm concerned, the Alzheimers was the Goddess's personal karmic payback.

5. 84,000 dead/year from homlsnss, a Reagan policy
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 04:31 AM by oscar111
The repubs suddenly made mass homelessness appear due to their policy of ending 2/3's of the funds to Section 8 rent vouchers, '80.

the hmlss die at three times the normal rate, due to heat, cold, rat bites.

The hmlessness policy is all anyone needs to know, to condemn the repubs as subhuman.

The hmless are not lazy. The Job Shortage of 14 million makes it impossible for that number of people to get a job.

BLS site has an Index with a page about PROJECT JOLT, which poves that only 3 million job openings exist, while 17 million are jobless... counting the discouraged. Sweden kept joblessnes below one percent, for decades while the LW was in power.

A million are hmles on any one night. But... because of some rising out of it, and others falling into it..., over a year, 3 million are involved at some point.

In Detroit, early eighties, "because of homelessness, we were pulling frozen bodies in off the streets" {democracynow! website, page on reagan legacy and his policies, on the occasion of the big outporing of praise for him on the week of his funeral. Praise?}

I think the SF CHRONICLE was the paper with a recent article saying Bush's proposed fed budget for O5 will cut more section 8 funds, enought to toss another 2 million out to live on a piece of sidewalk.

Death toll will of course rise as a result of bush. Do the numbers to see how much.

His planned cut to food stamps will up hunger from 12 million to 13. Not sure if the recent budget bill, passed last week, will finalize the planned cuts.

His three taxcuts for the rich totalled about 35O Billion.

4 billion would end all homelessness.

12 B would end all hunger

3OO B would end all poverty.

316 to end all three, and with enought left over to double the funds to NIH, which would cut in half the time to find new disease cures. In half!

NIH now gets 3O billion. 60 B would cut time to cures, in half.
Got any relatives who need a cure?

6. I agonized during my mother's fatal decent through Alzheimer's.
All the time, my hatred grew for the man who struck down the science that could have saved her life.

Even with this backdrop of sadness and anger, Bush II is far worse. He's killing an entire country, its democracy, its innocence, its goodness, and it's honor. He is condemning the world to a premature death for greed and power. He is history's paramount criminal.

I wonder if his wife and kids understand what a monster he is.
