Faith Based Initiative Money and Afr Am Churches?

Has anyone heard any discussion on repub offering faith based initiative money in return for support from Black Churches? I heard this recently but have not heard any more.

1. This has been going on for at least three years......

What has been done is that grants have been given to 'educate' the public about the OFBCI (Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives). The one seminar I went to, for work, was largely populated by African Americans. Perhaps 90%-10%.

The guy giving the workshop was telling those present how to get the money and still prosyletize....in clear violation of the rules, I thought, having read them myself.

I left at lunch. Too much Je$u$ and money mixed together never has a good ending.

I have real separation issue with this. It did turn religious leaders into advocates -- who would want the money flow cut off if a new president enforced a harder line between church and state?
