1. I think he's referring to
The heightened visibility and the increased intensity he is going to assume in the Senate IMHO

2. That was loaded with hidden messages
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 12:27 PM by scubed
"together, we are going to change history"
"you can make it happen"
"theyr'e counting on you to disappear"
"together, get back to work for our country"
sign his petition on child health care = sign petitions on vote fraud
hundreds of thousands of you
"regardless of the outcome of this election"{
"believe me, every vote will be counted"
"stay together and fight for a new direction"
long days and nights
assault on our values
your commitment, your passion
He cares about the child health care, but I read some of the statements "unconscionable" as being applicable to vote fraud as well
stifling dissent

I'm hearding all kinds of code words here. He devoted almost half of this to fighting the Bush administration on all kinds of values issues, including the right to a fair vote. This is not someone who has given up, has not betrayed us, but someone who still believes the time is not yet right for an open declaration. Also, did he sound wishy-washy to you? He sounded very confident, very sure of himself, very passionate.

Good to hear him again!

4. I became re-motivated upon seeing the recent video
He either knows something is wrong, or he has determined what the real problems are with the Democratic party and is working on reshaping the party's message. Either way, hooray for our side.

Regardless of how the final numbers swing, we need strong voices who are unafraid to let their progressive side show. I hope this means that Kerry has stopped listening to Bob Shrum, the DLC, and all the others who are dragging this party towards Republicanism. The time has come to be the opposition.

15. Not just for Kerry
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 03:59 PM by Spiffarino
...but for every Democrat that ever hopes to hold office. The neocons own the electoral process. Unless we break their deadly grip, it's suicide for all of us. Kerry may be treading carefully, but somebody has to stand up.

If the DNC won't, then it's up to us to march and raise holy hell. Then they will listen.

7. There were definitely messages
meant for us. Too bad I lost my decoder ring. I think my head is going to explode from all of the speculation.

I have maintained that it is all about timing. Let the recount be about the recount, and let the driving force behind it be the people. Once Kerry steps into the light, it will be all about him.

Can we break the media seal without John Kerry? Can we bring the serious issues of vote fraud to the forefront, without all of the GOP spin???

I am not about to accuse Kerry or Edwards or Moore or Dean or anyone else of being a coward or a traitor.

10. It would take more than massive protests....more like massive RIOTS
Only then would the media be willing to cover it....but you can still count on it that it would be totally one-sided and administration-friendly.

22. TRY THIS PROTEST THEN!!!!!!! JEEZ!!!!
Important:

Dec. 4, 1-4:00 at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus,
Ohio.

CASE is organizing a rally: "Investigate All 88"
"Revote Ohio or Death of Democracy - Choose one."

We hope to have out-of town as well as local
activists.

Wear all black to mourn the Death of Democracy.

Follow www.caseohio.org for further details.

I just got this in an email. I talked to Juliet Stewart from Ohio Recount and she told me Palast will be speaking and Jesse Jackson will be there although he will not be speaking. A thousand people are going to be bussed in from all over Pennsylvania. We need people to look into whether other states are doing this also. Our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine have shown us the way- please don't waste our momentum by sitting in your house on Saturday. We cannot sit by and watch our democracy die!!!!

14. I can't find the petition
i have mixed feelings about signing the petition because it may look like I'm "moving on".

I can't find it on the website.

However, I found an event planner on the website. No events currently planned in my part of CO. Maybe we should add the 51state rally for recounting/revoting?

18. What sticks out to me this time is "rewrite history" ...
... He says it many times, which places emphasis upon it. You can't "rewrite" something that hasn't been written, so he can't be talking about how he plans to stand up against the administration in the future here. One piece of history that has already been written is Bush's "victory" in the election ... my guess (or perhaps it's more a wish) is that he is talking about rewriting that victory into a defeat!

19. How about ..."Your efforts count now more than ever"
"This is not a time for Democrats to retreat"

"I am determined to make our collective energy and organization a force to be reckoned with in the weeks and months ahead"

20. I keep seeing that image of Kerry in early 70's...
walking along in that anti-war protest, with a walkie-talkie in hand...sending messages to his followers.

Within the Kerry who taped that video two weeks ago, is also the Kerry who led his followers (against the powers that be)...walkie-talkie in hand.

Trust, and keep faith!
