National Treasure
I know I posted this originally in the GD thread, and there was a reason for it

GO WATCH IT... the references to actual US History are amaizng, the section of the Declaration they chose to read is incredible, and overall it can be an ENLIGHTENING experience... as in the whole message very much in track with the ENLIGHTENMENT...

Go watch it... I rarely, if ever, recomend movies, this was an incredible flick, with good music track, well ploted and a sub text that was very, ahem, enlightening.

1. Cool, my hubby was interested b/c of the masonic stuff
Nice to hear that the movie doesn't suck balls.

I was kind of offended at first since I already think that the Declaration of Independence is a national treasure, once it is out on video I'll give it a go.

Thanks for posting.

4. We went with sis, I did not expect it to be good
I was very pleasantly surprised... I have an MA in history, so I was even laughing in one scene, purely an in joke... if you have handled ancient documents

7. Explain something for me please.
Why couldn't they find a copy of the Benjamin Franklin letters on the net? Why was the only copy on public display?

I found that odd.

5. I really enjoyed it
I was afraid it would be too cheesy but it was actually pretty good. And those Washington campaign buttons...LOVED that.

6. I really love this stuff, but I've got to level with you.
As a young girl, I would have seen this movie and felt one with the Masons as an American. I don't anymore. I realize now that they would have excluded people like me, and even worse, that they would have usurped the treasure long ago. There are no honest brokers in America, anymore.
