1. Danny brought the piano out of the closet.

The Beatles sudden popularity in 1964 signaled the banishment of the acoustic piano from mainstream pop through the 70s until Bruce allowed Danny to drive the rhythm of the E-Street Band. Danny, I bid you a thank you and a farewell.

(I know I know there was piano in the 70s - Barry Manilow........others.....even Let It Be....)

3. Sad day
This is very sad news. I've been a Springsteen fan for almost
30 years, and Dan was an integral part of his sound and a huge
part of Bruce's genius.
