Anyone Else Have a Roku Netflix system?
http://www.netflix.com/NetflixReadyDevices?lnkctr=mfNFRD&lnkce=nrdfm

I ordered it when it first came out and hooked it up last week.

It's pretty cool to have access to 10,000 movies. Now we never have to wonder what we'll watch at dinner time.

The hookup went pretty easily. I did need to call the help desk but the connection was really fast--never had to wait more than a couple minutes--and the help desk people were very polite and knowledgeable.

1. Looks nice - 2 questions

1) Is it HD? What resolution?
2) Is the sound Dolby 5.1 or better?

4. Thanks for the links...
But I think the answer is at best a qualified yes.

According to the 1st link:
The box streams movies from Netflix -- it doesn’t download them. I was able to get the 1.0 Mpbs stream in my testing, which resulted in perfectly acceptable video quality. Higher quality streams are available, and over time, HD streams will show up, which the box can handle.

And the second link:
The Netflix Player is HD-ready. It has all the connections you need to connect it to your HDTV, and it’s capable of playing back HD content. When Netflix releases HD content for Instant Watching, the Netflix Player by Roku will be ready.

So I guess that at some point, there will be HD content. I'm not seeing any time lines though. :(
