Celia Hodes (From TV show Weeds) was on short list for McCain VP

The show centers around Nancy. Nancy is the widowed mother who must sell marijuana to support her family. Celia Hodes is Nancy's friend who becomes the mayor. Celia, like Sarah, ran for office after failing to get action on the traffic front.

The remarkable thing about Celia is that she is a holier-than-thou type, but is as crooked as everyone else. She brings an anti-drug campaign to Agrestic but she ends up renting out a house to Nancy expressly for growing marijuana.

According to McCain, Celia just wasn't my type of gal. She did have an affair--an impeachable offense. (Viewers mostly like Celia because she's always in bed with former mayor Kevin Nealon and her anti-drug cameras pick up some funny scenes. I have a feeling that Celia is about as nuts as Sarah.)

But, was Sarah's house bombed by Coke! NO! Does Sarah's daughter do commercials for husky kids? NO! Was Sarah thrown out of her house by her husband? NO! Clearly McCain could have made a greater impact by choosing Celia Hodes. Look at Dan Quayle. When he went after Murphy Brown for being an unwed mother, he stole the headlines. And, with Celia, we would've had another real fake.

Then again, this Trig thing, does remind one of "Desperate Housewives." The mother taking the daughter's child as her own to avoid scandal. Maybe Sarah is the perfect anal woman we all love to hate on TV. The only problem is, she wants to be a real VP. No fake. We learned our lesson with Dan Quayle. Sorry McBush.
