Anyone see the Death Magnetic tour yet?
I'm pretty well up to speed on Metallica's set and its slight permutations. I'm wondering about Lamb Of God...and The Sword. Any reviews from DU metalheads? What's the word?

1. Seen LOG twice
Once w/machine head and once with slayer. They put on a pretty good show. The sword seems kid of meh to me though.

2. fuck Metallica
hearing their whining about only making $112,878,121.86 instead of $112,878,121.95 completely turned me off to them.
I had enough of spoiled brats when I was a kid.

Once in a blue moon I'll still listen to Ride the Lightning ... but other than that they're dead to me.

3. What the fuck do I care...
...how much money they make?

If you stick to listening to music instead of interviews you'll be a lot happier.

4. sorry
being a passive consumer of the entertainment industry just isn't something I can pull off.

I don't really care how much money Metallica makes.
I just don't want to hear them whine that they should really be making more when they're already making money by the truckload.

Rather than embrace the a shift in how music is distributed Ulrich stomped his feet like a spoiled brat and waged a one man campaign against technology.
I'm not saying piracy is a good thing, but he squandered the opportunity to take part in a social / digital revolution and instead obstinately sided with the recording industry fat cats.

The world owes Metallica thanks for their contribution to RIAA's evolution into the organization we all know and love today.
you know... the group that has extorting $5k 'donations' from huge swaths of people - whether they had a case or not.

:sarcasm:
