Poll question: Have you ever "studied" with Jehovah's Witnesses?
I had a brief stint with them in my pre-adolescent days. Some of their teachings have changed me though...

I don't get excited or even really celebrate holidays anymore. I guess that's a good thing. Saves me lots of money :P Oh, and I don't believe in hell or that everyone is going to heaven.

2. Your religion forbids you from learning about others beliefs???
I don't study with them because i don't want to...but if i wanted to i think it would be ludicrous of my religion (i don't have one, i'm an atheist...but if i did) telling me i couldn't even study with them.

4. There are sensible precautions to being evangelised etc
I can pray anywhere I like EXCEPT in a room with the markings of other deities (which is a polite way of saying IDOL WORSHIP, which is a rude way of suggesting those gruesome Jesus-on-the-cross models you get inside churches - apologies in advance for offenses not intended).
I can pray anywhere I like EXCEPT if bent on two knees - that's how people used to pray to idols and there are some nasty consequences cited in the Old Testament should you bend both knees, even accidently!
I can pray anywhere I like, EXCEPT in the company of proselytising evengelical queue-jumping self-serving radicals.

Oops, might have offended again, sorry.

6. I took over two years of weekly Bible study with them. A very nice, calm woman
came to my home for private study with me. I was never pressured to join.

9. I studied with one a couple times...
...I actually grew up with a couple and was friends with them throughout high school. They were weird, weird kids, but pretty nice.
There are some views that the JW's have that I really like. However, I think they're too strict in some ways, and kind of obnoxious, so I doubt that I would want to be one.

11. Yep. Sorry but I can't give up my right to vote
That makes no sense to me, especially when I still have to pay taxes and live within the confines of this government.
