Even if you are not Pagan it can never hurt to celebrate the return of the warm sun, the birth of a new generation of wild plants and animals and the hope that the spring plantings will bring a prosperous garden for you!!

Add in some Glenn Ellen cheap fruity wine and yes indeedy nakedness and bonfires can be hazardous to your skin! My ex is living proof! he had little burn dots all over him for days from the flying embers. I'm now giggling out loud at work and people are looking at me funny.

2. Thanks! I wish I could enjoy this time of year |

and the warmth of the sun, work on my garden, etc. but my allergies keep me confined inside this time of the year. This great weather is such a tease! But I do get to enjoy the weather on the second half of May when my allergies go away.

A religion with fire, dancing, and boobies....... HELL YEAH. Sure beats moping around, begging to be saved and constantly castigating yourself for stupid sins. HA!

I went to a Beltane celebration this weekend which was also a friend's wedding. I'm just as skeptical when it comes to paganism as I am with any other religious or spiritual beliefs, but one thing I can say for sure: The pagans are a lot more fun than most other religious folk I know. :)
I actually kind of like the ceremonies I've been to. It's something I can enjoy as a poetic observation of life and nature, and that I can participate in without feeling like I'm denying my own skepticism by being there, or like I'm pretending to believe something I don't believe.
