Definitive Proof of Creationism Listen and Weep Eviloutionists!
Man o Monkey http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/95297/detail/">this video is teh awesome.

And not a moment too soon for we are less than 365 days away from the 200th aniversary of the birthday of that most evil of created souls Darwin. Boy did God f*** up when he created that Soul!

Now you will be unable to use your neocortex (formed a wee bit haphazardly by god) to defend your cobbled together eviloutionist ramblings against my painstakingly subtle creationist arguments!

they'd take steps to correct it in themselves.

6. Evolution vs. Creationism? Perhaps.
I, for one, have never had too much of a problem with believing in evolution and God. For some reason, I always just assumed that Evolution was the way in which God worked. I always had a tough time understanding Creationism, despite being deeply religious.

8. Does this God still control evolution?
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 12:30 AM by sleebarker
If so, he/she/it isn't doing too great of a job. I can suggest a lot of improvements to human DNA. For instance, getting rid of the short-sightedness and greed and selfishness and ignorance and ability to believe stupid things that's killing us and the many other species we're taking with us.

Also, couldn't he/she/it come up with better solutions to malaria and typhoid than sickle cell and cystic fibrosis? Sure, if you have one copy of the genes you're more resistant, but two copies and you're screwed.

Why even have genetic diseases in the first place, if there's a being controlling it?

So if a being is controlling DNA and natural selection, it doesn't seem to be an omnipotent being. Either that or it's not omniscient - in fact, if it is omnipotent then it knows less than I do. Or it just started the whole life thing and then left us alone to the mercies of genetic mutation and natural selection.

Either way there's no reason to worship it and base public policy on what you think it thinks. Or think that it exists, but hey, whatever gets you through the day.

One would argue that's the reason we became the dominant species in the first place.

Personally, I believe that God used evolution as a tool...not by controlling it, but by understanding the laws of His creation so completely that he knew inevitably where it would lead. Even the stuff that seems bad plays a vital role in the overall development of life.

I think that when the process finally produced a being who was "ready", God blessed that person and their offspring with a soul. From then on, God took a more active role in leading His chosen people down the path He desired.

30. It ain't the Garden of Eden
or Heaven. It is a fallen world. Sin is the reason for genetic diseases.

And if you want God to "get rid of the short-sightedness and greed and selfishness and ignorance and ability to believe stupid things," you should be careful what you wish for. Surely God could program us all such that we are incapable of wrongdoing. However, then we would be mere automatons, and could not make a meaningful choice to love God and do His will. We would be no different from wind-up toys.

I think God's plan is better than your proposal. But that's just me. Oh, no wait. Me and billions of other people.

10. I know it's not cool but...
when I hear people who don't know anything about evolution pretend they have something important to say about evolution, I want to kick them repeatedly in the brain stem. I don't even want to argue anymore...I'm tired of arguing about evolution. I'm tired of every fucking dumbass on the street, upon hearing that I study evolution, trying to argue with me.

If you don't believe in evolution, your a fucking ignoramus. That's it. It's true. If you don't believe in evolution, but you don't think your ignorant, then it's because your too fucking ignorant to know what a fucking clueless moron you are.

That is all.

11. The pity is they actually think they are arguing.
Their big empty minds are little more than bounce houses for nonsense, and the doors are only open to nonsense.

Nonsense in, nonsense out. You might as well argue with some schizophrenic woman at a bus stop having an animated conversation with herself.

There's no meaning in the words to be shared.

14. Hmm . . .
When "your" posting insulting posts on a message board, and "your" calling other people "f***ing ignoramuses," "f***ing dumbasses" and "f***ing clueless morons," you might want want to learn the correct spelling of "you're."

Otherwise, there might be some unintentional irony in your post. Just saying.

Something like, say, creationism would be a more major indication of bieng stupid about something.

Note: My grammar wasn't quite correct! Correct it only if you are smarter than me.

16. I don't claim to be smarter than you, Random_Australian.
As trotsky established years ago, I am an ignorant goatherd. Because of my modest status, I do not routinely point out misspellings or errors in usage that I observe on a message board. It is only when a poster makes a fool out of himself by spewing insults about the intelligence of others, while simultaneously displaying his own intellectual shortcomings, that I feel compelled to comment on the irony of the situation.

17. Yeah yeah yeah, all that stuff about who is smart and not smart aside,
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 07:23 PM by Random_Australian
my point is still that small errors aren't really an indicator of low intelligence.

For instance, anyone who is good at maths with probably eventually do diagonalisation problems. They involve a large amount of simple arithmetic.

Smart people get them wrong all the time - simply because one of their 200-300 simple sums were wrong.

Which is case-in-point for "small errors don't necessarily imply not smart".

Well, and furthermore it is rarely a case of a person bieng smart or not, but more of a particular post bieng good/insightful/smart.

Edit: Actually, since when am I serene enough to do that? I'm not, so I can't ask you to do the same. No hypocrisy for me - ignore this whole argument. :)

I don't think your god likes that. One of the "big ones" that you're supposed to obey, isn't it?

I have never, EVER called you "an ignorant goatherd." YOU are the one who invented that term all by yourself and continue to bear false witness, making baby Jeebus cry every time you claim I said it about you.

Perhaps you can apologize to me and make baby Jeebus happy. And avoid BURNING IN HELL.

26. Please read more carefully, trotsky
I did not say you called me "an ignorant goatherd." I said you established that I was. You did call me "ignorant." I added the "goatherd" part, because (1) I am, truly, a goatherd; and (2) it makes my point more colorfully.

In case you missed it, my point is that your attacks on my level of knowledge are fallacious. Calling someone "ignorant" does not rebut the person's argument. You must address the argument itself. Assume for purposes of argument that I am indeed an ignorant goatherd. You still have to rebut my arguments, and cannot prevail merely by calling me names.

To be equal to them, I would have to deny that the apostrophe exists at all. That would make me equal to those fucktards.

21. Faith is the evidence of things unseen
In my mind creationism and evolution do not conflict, but these things at their most complicated level are beyond my human understanding. What I do know, is that there is a spirit of truth and of God. Inside each one of us exists the truth that God exists. If you turn to that truth and you follow it, then you will follow Christ, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

28. Oh this ain't that bad
I once had a college educated colleague argue that evolution must be wrong because otherwise gorillas would turn into people (as in a gorilla would be born and, over the course of that individual gorilla's life, it would turn into good old H. sapiens)

I must confess she ended the argument because I frankly could not think of an asnwer to that one. There are some things so far off that you just can't even get that logical lever into them even a bit.

33. Tell 'em they used to have gills and a tail
When they were tiny embryos. Make em freak out.

Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny == the development of the individual goes through the development of the species. That is why embryos have gills and a tail that disappears.
