3. "miracle" simply means...
... some natural occurrence for which we have yet to find the cause.

"Miracle" is a word we use as a substitute for "ignorance".

10. Or perhaps
to some people it is an occurrence that seems (to them) so unlikely that it could not have happened other than by divine intervention. Helped along by their desperate emotional need to find "miracles" anywhere they can, and their lack of thought about how often extremely unlikely things can (and should) happen in a world with 6 3/4 billion people and trillions of events and interactions every day.

6. Just before I conceived my son I saw a special on pregnancy.
It was probably on the Discovery Channel.

The scientists said that given the HUGE number of antagonistic variables that can interfere with conception only, never mind, gestation, and giving birth, it's truly a miracle that anyone actually makes it.

Life itself is a miracle or at least that's what the scientists said.

I believe them and feel the same.

7. If there were miracles, which I doubt, the ability for humans, animals & plants to evolve
would head the list.
