Poll question: True or False: In Heaven, we don't have hands.
My vote is for #3, but if I did believe in Heaven, I would vote "True". I also like the quote within the 4th choice.

I'm most interested in the hands vs no hands ideas and arguments.

2. The Theosophical view is interesting.

In "heaven" or the "spiritual realm", we are pure consciousness, but we can "manifest" a body, including hands, anytime we wish. Think of it as a "spiritual" version of Virtual Reality. Thought takes form and becomes whatever we wish.

So the answer to "do we have hands" is "If and when we want hands, we will have them."

6. I think it's definitely more satisfying than a simple "Yes, of course we have hands" answer.
If one accepts the premise of Heaven at all, the Theosophical view is tough to argue with.

3. Obviously, this planet was a garden of Eden . . .
ended by patriarchy's war on nature.

There's a very interesting movie called "Defending Your Life" . . .
worth seeing --- funny.

I hold to the concept, however, that -- if anything -- we are all "god/goddess" -- as harmed as the earth/nature by pollution and violence --

This is a universal spirituality ---

And, remember that all of the world's major religions at one time taught REINCARNATION . . .
until it became inconvenient for the elite---

7. I just watched Defending Your Life again a couple weeks ago, no kidding.
(I understand if you're doubtful) :

It is really good, but didn't have the effect it did a few years ago. This time I couldn't help expecting Albert Brooks to yell "Four onion rings!" at any moment. ;)

So, hands, or no hands?

11. Well . . .
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 12:15 PM by defendandprotect
if you also look at the movie version of OUR TOWN and certainly the plays . . .
when you see the young bride having passed over, revisiting her home and family --
you see she has hands---!!!

HOW DID THIS BECOME A QUESTION . . . PLEASE TELL ME --- !!! ????

Re "Defending Your Life" . . .
I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it on TV because they cut it ---
However, I was recommending it to those who might not have given reincarnation a lot of
thought ---
And think in those cases it might expand their thinking a bit --- ???

Re the movies you're listing --- though I'm not sure why . . . ???
"East of Eden" played on TNT the other day, but couldn't really concentrate on it --
"Contact," I thought, was too vague on what I think was an actual event --
"Dark Victory" --- still a knock them dead Betty Davis movie --
Others I'm not familiar with --- are you recommending --- ???

"Do the right thing" ... can't think of the director of "Malcolm X" --- is that his movie?
If so --- G R E A T ---

PS: Though I don't recall seeing her feet . . . !!!

9. What if you have an itch?
Or develop jock itch. Would that still be considered heaven?

10. In heaven you have hands...
...in hell, all you have is a drop claw, and no quarters to operate it most of the time, when you do get a quarter once every few eons your drop claw only runs for about five seconds, and you never, ever ever ever get the teddy bear.
