2. I don't often wear crosses, but I am a Christian; I find neither offensive
although I guess I'd be sad if someone DIDN'T want to mention biology to me, thinking I'm some fundie wacko anti-science looney or something.

I've never understood why some people have such a hard time fitting science into their notion of God, or vice versa.

5. The cross is emblematic of a torture device and capital punishment.
I wish more were circled like the Celtic cross.

Symbolically that represents the cross of matter surrounded by the circle of spirit.

It has far more flow to it.

11. How is the stranger wearing it? Around his neck on a slender chain, or
nailed to his hands and feet? If the latter, it might be hard to have a casual conversation about much of anything, assuming it's not related to calling 911.
