I just had a thought about Daniel in the Lion's Den...I wonder if the lions were so full |

they didn't bother him.
Maybe King Darius, who liked Daniel, had the lions fed a humongous meal before Daniel’s visit. And/or had them dosed with poppy juice, so the lions were full and totally chilled out, maybe sleeping. They were probably lying there letting him pet them and purring with rapture.
Of course, it was just a story, IMO…

Sometimes leadership is all about the finer details. If the big cats were well fed, it would set up for a great PR moment. Wise kings have always been about making use of opportunities for PR that sets minds on a course the king would like to see followed.
