Attention Catholics: Draft survey: 4,450 priests accused of sex abuse
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 06:39 AM by Dyllyn
70% of Catholics in PA voted for Hillary . Hillary said that if Rev Wright was her Pastor she would have left his church .

I ask you is it fair to apply this standard to Obama and not to Catholics who have seen there Pastor's carry out crimes against children that are way worse that what Rev Wright said.

Catholics (I am one) we should not judge Obama and his relationship with his church and differently than we judge ourselves .

I have no intention of renouncing my church despite what they have done . I believe every Catholic who is still attending church is taking the same position as Obama did with his. it would be a gross hypocrisy to complain about Obama's Pastor and ignore many of our own

Secondly- as someone who has had this abuse effect my family here in MA I do not know of anyone who knew about the abuse and continued to be ministered too by that priest.

I am no longer a Catholic, I have not been for more then 20 years, but my family is.

To try and equate the horrors done by some of these very sick priests, to Rev Wright is a very bad analogy. You are not discussing one priest in one Parish. More importantly, Rev Wright did not abuse anyone, did not destroy families. He said some things that didn't sit well with others and that the MSM has blown out of proportion and that the RW will smack Obama with in the GE.

I am a Hillary supporter.

2. If Reverend Wright were molesting little boys, it would have been okay.

Instead, he used naughty words to describe American foreign policy.

That's unforgivable.

However, when a Hillary-supporting pastor complains about the non-officially-sanctioned "Obama Girls" having "Big Ol' Titties," that's okay, too.

You see, The Catholic Church Hierarchy loves America... AND little boys.

4. Definitely
Obama should not denounce his church at all. I have no problem with him denouncing Wright, if he feels he must. I think that the priests who have abused children or their position of authority are the biggest scum on Earth.

Having said that, were people criticizing his relationship with his church? I thought it was all about Rev. Wright himself. Not the UCC.
