Found a very nice virtual tour of first century Jerusalem...

This is definitely worth a look, if you're in to that sort of thing. I was especially impressed with Herod's castle to the north and the great temple in the center is stunning. It was also easy to spot the areas of social stratification; the poor on the left and the rich in their palatial mansions to on the right. Seems somethings just don't change. It's also amazing to think of that magnificent city just being stomped out of existence by the Romans in 70 a.d. Imagine what a total fucking bummer that had to have been to those who really loved that city. What a waste... some people suck.
