I just get a sense of peace and joy going to church that I don't get in watching porn. Don't get me wrong, some Christian denominations scare the bejesus out of me, too - snake handlers, poison drinkers, really loud, violent, and charismatic worshiping. But I go to a more traditional church and I find it makes me feel good about myself and others. So, sure, I can see how church can make anyone uncomfortable, especially if it's pounded into you that you are bad unless you accept their personal version of Jeebus.
