Grandstaff-ing and Lamb-asting! - “Pastors” Who Threaten Their Flock?
Published February 11th, 2009 by Tony Rose in Apologetics, Apostasy,

Church Growth Issues, Circus Church, Deception, False Teachers, General, Pragmatism

Chris Rosebrough, over at A Little Leaven, shares a video of “pastor” Gary Lamb, who is sharing his biggest regret: not “clubbing a church lady with a baseball bat?”

Is he serious? Visit Chris’ site at the link above to read his commentary, but here is the video for your convenience:

At time marker 1:50 in the video, Gary brags:

“You know what my biggest regret in that church is? Is how I left that church. If I had it to do over again today this is how’d I’d a done it. I wish I’d have walked up into that church with a baseball bat, clocked that woman in her noggin, punched her husband in the face, took a baseball bat to those pews, burnt the organ up, set the piano on fire”

Does this sound like a repentant man with a shepherd’s heart that you would want your church to call?

I also began noticing this type of threatening language when listening to Tadd Grandstaff, one of Gary Lamb’s “sermon collaborators.”

For example, recently in Tadd’s first “Bringing Sexy Back” sermon, at time marker 30:20 on the video,

Tadd makes the following “shepherding” statement:

your congregation can get any idiot to replace you. You have to out-idiot the idiots.

Here's an idea: train your asshole to wink the way Sarah Palin does. Then jump up on the pulpit, whip off your trousers, and show them.

4. I went to Mass (at a Catholic Church) once
where the pastor was speaking about Hell in a really bullying way. It turned me off. But with Catholicism, at least in NYC, there are hundreds of churches to choose from, and I never went back to that particular parish. I can't imagine going to a church where the pastor was a angry bully.

5. I too can't imagine going...
to a church where the pastor was a angry bully.

BTW

Gary Lamb and Perry Noble and Tadd Grandstaff

all are friends of Rick Warren and Bill Hybels

and share many of their theology

so that says a lot about Warren and Hybels

if their students act like sociopaths

7. Christian doctrine is bullying and abusive.
"You better do right and pray because otherwise god will send you to hell".

"You are a worthless POS because Eve ate the apple in the Garden of Eden, therefore you MUST believe in substitutionary atonement or you are going to hell".

That is known legally as duress in the real world. Contracts signed under duress are NOT enforceable.
