1. Good for them. Now if they will take it one step farther, and say "So what?" ... |

... then the Vatican will tremble.
"The diocese of Springfield is going to secede!!!!"
"We'll miss you. Have a nice bigoted little life."
The reason I bring the Vatican into this, is because the Anglican communion is the refuge of choice for many Catholics who have had enough of the Roman priest-class arrogance and hypocrisy.
If the Anglican communion would put up a few statues of Mary and name a few churches for her, and in their own special way raise her up a couple of notches (including the Hail Mary in prayer perhaps) they could draw some serious money in the pews from the RC church.

out-Roman the Romans. Some are named St. Mary's (most famously, St. Mary the Virgin in Times Square), and some have Lady Chapels. They do Adoration of the Host, private confession and absolution, and use enough incense to gag an elephant.
But Episcopalians have a lot of latitude in worship styles as long as they base their worship on the Book of Common Prayer and don't upset their bishop.

3. There's another resolution in the works |

(it's General Convention time for TEC) to begin to create a rite for same-sex blessings.
I think after the last convention, when so many were so disappointed by the decision to slow things down in order to appeal to the Anglican Communion (the result of which, apparently was a number of Episcopal dioceses breaking away from TEC), that people are finally ready to recognize what we promise in our baptismal rite - to honor the dignity of all people. Can't really do a good job of that while calling them evil and less-than.
