Lunch with Swami Paramananda in Asheville, NC.
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 09:58 PM by brainshrub
I was invited to have lunch with Swami Paramananda at a home in Woodfin, NC. (Just north of Asheville) I'm not a practitioner of of yoga, Hinduism or Eastern theology; but it was exciting to have an opportunity to dine with a bona fide swami. After lunch, Paramananda gave a talk that was open to the public.

Paramananda is famous in India with hundreds of thousands of followers. He's considered a saint, if not a demigod, by many Hindus.

He will be in the United States for another week before returning to India.

1. It sounds as though you had a wonderful experience
Do you have any information as to Swami Paramananda's further schedule, or have any info as to how to find that out?

Thanks,

2. He was pretty neat.
There were others in the room who were agog at his presence, but I didn't feel anything special. Paramananda was a kind, patient old man with a really good vibe.

Paramananda will be at the Eathaven eco-village tomorrow, then he's off to Atlanta. (I think) If you want his full schedule, IM me. I'm friends with the devotee that is taking care of his schedule.
