2. As far as I can tell from Portuguese sources, this seems to have happened a dozen years ago
at Catedral São José in Ituiutaba, Brazil; it seems to have been reported by ISTOÉ in December 1997, but the story is no longer available at their website. The Franciscan padre assaulted a mentally unbalanced woman. He apparently was removed immediately and scheduled for trial by church tribunal, the last phase of which was expected to end in 2006
