Care to label yourself?
I posted this on another site (not the one where I went fundy-baiting).

Thinking about the words liberal, conservative, and moderate both poilitically and theologically led me to putting up this post.

Politically: I come in to the south and west of Gandhi here: http://poltiticalcompass.org /

Theologically, I come in as a Unitarian Universalist here: http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

and here http://beliefnet.com/section/quiz/index.asp?sectionID=1... I am a 150 - 249
You are a Hillary Rodham Clinton Christian (a.k.a. "Left-Leaning Traditionalist") although to be honest I didn't think much of this particular quiz.

There are other quizzes around if you are interested in them: http://beliefnet.com/section/quiz/index.asp?sectionID=10002&surveyID=83

4. I screwed up the first link. It's fixed now. I can't wait to see
how you score politically, given the interesting results you got religiously. *lol*

7. Yeah, I'm pretty far in the southwest; beliefnet has trouble deciding ..

I tend to view myself as a fairly Conservative/fundamental Muslim (In that I mean that I adhere to what I see as the fundamental principles and teachings of Islam, which I think is very different from a "fundie" which tends toward an extreme based upon a flawed understanding of the real teachings..)

Here's what I got.

1. Sikhism (100%)
2. Jainism (97%)
3. Bahá'í Faith (93%)
4. Reform Judaism (92%)
5. Islam (87%)
6. Orthodox Judaism (87%)
7. Liberal Quakers (85%)
8. Mahayana Buddhism (83%)
9. Hinduism (79%)
10. Unitarian Universalism (73%)
11. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (68%)
12. Theravada Buddhism (68%)
13. Orthodox Quaker (65%)
14. Neo-Pagan (64%)
15. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (62%)
16. New Age (53%)
17. Taoism (50%)
18. Jehovah's Witness (46%)
19. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (44%)
20. Seventh Day Adventist (44%)
21. Scientology (44%)
22. New Thought (40%)
23. Eastern Orthodox (38%)
24. Roman Catholic (38%)
25. Secular Humanism (36%)
26. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (31%)
27. Nontheist (22%)

Wow!

And learning more about the other beliefs is also a blast :) I can see where I and they agree and disagree.

That was very cool :) Thank you for the link.

Peace

:)

No, I hadn't found that site yet. I took a look at it and it looks pretty good. Thanks again :). It will be well worth a good read.

I sometimes peruse www.muslimwakeup.com which can be pretty progressive.

slightly south and well west of Gandhi

And 100% neo-pagan.

the third...You are a Bishop Spong Christian (a.k.a. "Biblical Revisionist").

No idea what that means...I'm not a Christian, so I'm not sure it means much of anything
