"Intelligent Design" is Darwinian on Social Issues. |

Dog-eat-dog, Survival of the Fittest, Kill or be killed, and a host of other ills, such as a strong propensity for gross materialism, and self-fulfilling prophecies, such as Racism, which is really being Capitali$$$ed on in "our" "culture" right now.

2. Their justifications amount to "God is testing you . . ." |

for those who have problems with the way things are. Also, "You are being made stronger."
Well, maybe, but then, maybe not! I think they're just producing more obfuscation to keep the attention off of the real stuff, such as Health Care should be a Civil Right in this country, and, broadband Internet access should also be a Civil Right, provided for in our schools and other Public institutions.

I never really thought about it, but there does appear to be an inverse correspondence, nowadays (certainly this was not always the case, as earlier on all these kinds of evolution ideas were combined for many people, quite the rage)
It is certainly odd, but you can characterize those who are vehemently against biological evolution, as generally for the social-darwinist attitude, and vice versa.
Its understandable that sometime after the Great Depression and WWII the split happened as people rejected Eugenics and let the poor eat cake Social Darwinism. But it took a while didn't it, for it to get quite this pronounced.
