What's the advantage of not worrying about food, clothing etc for yourself ...
... if you impose upon yourself a duty to be the "keeper" of your fellow human beings, and worry about whether or not they truly "need" money when they ask for money to be used for unverified purposes that might include the following?

  • meat products,
  • porn
  • sugary snacks containing hydrogenated oils and/or saturated fats,
  • if they used to work at the SEC, more porn
  • very salty snacks that disrupt the balance between sodium and potassium,
  • alcoholic beverages,
  • if they still work at the SEC, some more porn
  • tobacco products,
  • lottery tickets,
  • etc.

1. I don't think I would buy porn.

Most of it is free on the internet.

But the rest of that stuff does cost money, so yea, I do need the money I am due. Lottery tickets are a bad bet, although occasional poker games are fun.

Side note, I don't ask for money, I make it clear that money is due, even though there is no person that can be held to blame for that debt.

You wouldn't expect me to be hypocritical would you? :D

zing, how many of you thought such terrible things about me when I posted that? Who have I hurt ever? See how it works, people find things to judge others with so they do not have to look at themselves. A greedy person is given something to say a drinker is bad, so they don't think on what they do. And same could be said about some other person over critical of someone greedy.

Explain why it is wrong.

I do note that Paul's comment on 'setting examples' is correct, however I have turned down being a role model, because, well why would I want to be one. I like playing pool over a beer, and there is nothing wrong with it for me, nor most people when in moderation.
