On the role of women in the Christian religion.
Which books are women relegated to a lesser role in the NT? Those mainly by Paul or are there others?

1. The ones giving high position to women were left out of the NT.
You really do need to check the reject material.

I think the rest are pretty good for gender equality.

4. I thought maybe it was predominantly the letters written by Paul
Who never met Jesus except what he claim was in a vision. A bit hard to prove he did.

5. It's a little more complex than that.........

The worst abuse of women in the NT is entirely in books falsely claimed to be from Paul. Timothy for the worst.

Scholars have known from centuries that only about half the so called Pauline letters (likely) come from him. All the worst diminution of women is in them, the pseudepigrapha.

A wonderful resource on these questions is the very outfront April DeConick, which see.

(April's website.) Oh, sorry, meant Dr. DeConick's website.
