Jewish women’s group responds to Perry’s prayer event “Response”: don’t do it
As representatives of the National Council of Jewish Women in Houston, we are seriously troubled about Gov. Perry’s endorsement of and participation in the prayer event called “The Response.”

NCJW believes that the protection and preservation of the constitutional principle of religious liberty and the separation of religion and state are keystones of a free and pluralistic society. Gov. Perry is using his office to promote a sectarian event and is endorsing one religion over another. In addition to the constitutional concerns, his active promotion of this event is disturbing. We would hope for more sensitivity to minority religions from the Governor of this great and diverse state.

2. Perry's association with the AFA
is raising his toxicity quotient considerably. It's going to be funny if there's a larger crowd of protesters outside the stadium than participants inside.
