Christian Seasonal "Outreach" Program??
The Destiny Church, based in Broomfield, Colorado, has a special, seasonal outreach program -- it builds a haunted house that stages dramatic and timely messages on homosexuality, abortion, satanism and all the other wages of sin.

"The method is timely! The message is timeless! Desperate times call for drastic measures! If your church or ministry is determined to take a stand against sin and the kingdom of darkness and to reach people for Jesus like never before, then this outreach is for you! Get prayed up and powered up and be prepared for the ride of your ministry life!"

-- Senior Pastor Keenan Roberts of Destiny Church, and author and creator of The Hell House Outreach Kit

Keenan Roberts

(Hey! Nice coiffure, Pastor.)

<SNIP>

* Gay Wedding ($45) — This energetic scene will give you another powerful weapon in your arsenal against the homosexual stronghold and the born-gay deception. The demon tour guide conducts the ceremony that actually involves a young married couple. (The wife dons masculine make-up for the necessary male look.) The tour guide pronounces them “husband and husband”. Then the scene utilizes a time warp to move several years into the future with one of the partners dying of AIDS as demon imps swarm into a hospital room. This package comes with the originally produced rock-n-roll wedding march CD, the air of evil background music CD and the death drum track also on compact disc.

<SNIP>

* Gay/Lesbian Suicide ($45) — This scene creatively combines two cutting-edge issues into one script. The drama for the scene calls for a spiritual battle between the angel of the Lord and the demon tour guide. They wrestle for Jamie's intellect as she struggles with whether or not God has made her this way. This script captures an incredibly compelling exposé that unmasks the “born-gay” lie.

2. Testimonial
Letters To The Editor
Charisma

I just read “Finding Heaven in a House of Horror” by Ken Walker (October) and wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who sponsors these Halloween productions. The church has been in the closet for too long and has sugar-coated these serious issues.

We're living in the final hours before Christ returns. The church needs to become bolder. Let's just come out and speak the truth!

After all, Hollywood isn't wasting any time telling everyone boldly about sex, drugs and New Age beliefs. Meanwhile Hell House is telling people about the dangers of sin. I applaud these Christians for finally coming out as boldly as Hollywood does.

Camille from Georgia

Right, Camille.

Let that poor church out of the closet and stop the oppression NOW!:eyes:

4. After further thought...
Anybody want to give examples of just how the church(es) have "sugar-coated" their message?

9. From their point of view
Progressive society has been forcing them into the closet for decades now. Of course they don't see their views as oppressive, regressive, or in any way negative. They believe they are opposing evil. They believe society is corrupt.

What you posted is an example of their throwing aside the social contract. No longer will they stand by while society becomes increasingly corrupt. So they see themself as overcoming oppression. They see themself as the victim.

16. If you talk to social workers
who work with cases of domestic abuse, almost EVERY abuser presents themself as the victim.

Same thing goes for other base mindsets. The Nazi perception of the international Jewish conspiracy, along with Poland's infamous "invasion", springs to mind.

3. These people are crazy
I can hardly fathom the depths of the hatred, ignorance, and fear that these people must experience to promote shit like this.

5. Yes they are crazy
This is nothing but fearmongering (ironic, huh?) to the highest degree. This pastor must be REALLY insecure with himself.

8. This is a huge industry in Jesusland
These Hell House things are sold as "packages," and cost a lot of $$$ to license and put on. There's a pretty good documentary about them which pops up on Independent Film Channel or Sundance occasionally.

The idea seems to be mutating and spreading all over the world, unfortunately.

See my post with the Subject: "It just never stops..."

Here in Alexandria, Egypt, the Coptic Xians produced an anti-Muslim play which was recorded to DVD and distributed widely.

That little production has already caused 2 stabbings and a riot last night that left one person dead and many injured.

300 years before the myth of Jesus raised its ugly head, this city was famous for containing the wisdom of the whole world in its library and museum (which was a sort of super-university, not a place to go look at old stuff).

Shortly after the myth of Jesus got into the driver's seat, a mob of religious fanatics burned the library. Another Xian mob in Alexandria killed the uppity female philosopher/mathematician Hypatia. According to one version, the mob slowly hacked her to death with sea shells.

Yep, the really GOOD ideas just keep coming around... :sarcasm:
