I need some creative ideas!
The Worship committee of my church met last night, and we agreed we want to initiate a "Blue Christmas" service for the whole community this year.

There was a concern, however, that if that was actually how it was advertised, people may not read further, expecting something like an Elvis impersonator, or Elvis songs...etc.

We are all now brainstorming for a better way to "label" the service.

For those who may not be familiar, this would be a service for people who are not looking forward to Christmas this year, because they are hurting from a death, or a divorce, or the loss of a job, or something along those lines.

I have thought of "Into this Silent Night", or "I Wonder as I Wander".

Basically, we are looking for a title, if you will, for the sign out front, and for the newspaper invitation to the community.

There are some very creative people here at DU, and this was the first place I thought of to look for some ideas.

4. They're talking about people being sad, depressed,

upset, etc., during the holidays, and the title "Blue Christmas" is an Elvis song, c. 1961, which begins, "I'll have a blue Christmas without you, I'll be so blue thinking about you."

5. Blue Christmas
The others sound too overdone. Blues Christmas can be misconstrued just as easily. Long live the King.

Christmas is the beginning, not the end

I will pray on it, and come up with more if you want.
