Zen for the Day
The whole universe
shatters into a hundred pieces.
In the great depth
there is no heaven, no earth.

Once body and mind have turned over
there is only this to say.

Past mind cannot be grasped
Present mind cannot be grasped
Future mind cannot be grasped.

4. I was just looking for you.
It has been so much fun reading all the Zen things this morning.

If it were night I would simply go out and watch the moon.

8. I live in the very heart of the city
so sitting on mountaintops is kind of out.

That is what I love about Zen. All you need is to find a spider web or a drop of water. Or a sunbeam.

It is so wonderful.
