Catholic Bishops Turn Sights From Gay Marriage
lull before another storm?

http://www.365gay.com/newscon04/11/111804bishops.htm

After a season of attacking same-sex marriage and helping pass constitutional amendments in 11 states to ban gay marriage, America's Roman Catholic bishops are now turning their sights to the traditional marriages of their own flock.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, meeting this week in Washington, say it is time to deal with an increasing divorce rate among Catholics.

A multi-year plan adopted by the bishops said that traditional marriage is under extreme pressure from within.

3. Considering all the molesting of Altar Boys in church
I'm not sure sexless could describe them. Maybe dirty old, pious men?

2. That's right, now the bishops are going to have to figure out how to...
...keep the evangelical/dominionists from taking over total political power in the U.S. In the eyes of Pat Roberson and Jerry Falwell as well as other dominionists, Catholicism is a pagan religion and is on their hit list.

6. Right.
This is why I tell fellow Catholics that we *can't* vote repug. It just isn't logical, and now that they have gotten in bed with the fundies, it seems to me that the church is screwed. (I hope that I'm wrong.)
