Church Rejects Transexual's Care
What Christian spirit, don't you think? This is the aspect of "faith-based" social services that scares the *#$@ out of me. At least the county had the good sense to discontinue sending people in need to that organization.

A church that refused to care for a woman who was once a man has found itself in the midst of debate over the role of faith-based social services.

Minnesota's Anoka County Social Services Department has sent disabled seniors and other adults who need care during the day to Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis, a town north of the Twin Cities. But when it took a woman who had begun life as a man to the Lutheran-Missouri Synod church, the conservative congregation refused to accept her.

The county then refused to send any more clients to the church.

"It places the church in a difficult situation," the Rev. John Maxfield said. "We want to minister to everyone. But this person's outward behavior contradicts the church's teaching."

2. Read the Bible. It flip-flops on what should be taught too.
Especially when Jesus enters the picture... which is when Christianity is supposed to take effect.

This "Judeo-Christian" ideology is a load of bunk. It seems to take the wortst tenets of both and smoosh them into something new.

4. Has the Supreme Court
given an okay for this type of funding? It just astonishes me that taxpayer funds are being diverted to Pat Robertson and his ilk. I don't see how this can come close to being Constitutional.

5. These people are assholes. They pretend to believe the teachings
of Jesus Christ but the chose TO IGNORE one of his biggest admonitions: "Judge not, lest ye be judged."

6. Then they need to eliminate everybody but plaster saints
Honestly, there's not a pious person among them, trust me. However, since their sins don't show on the surface like transsexual surgery or out of wedlock pregnancy, those people pretend like they don't commit them.

It's a real pity that mistresses, sugar daddies, abused wives and children, and all the other people these sanctimonious frauds have sinned with and against aren't contacting the media to let their sins be known.

If they can't do Christ's work, they need to stop taking the money for it.

7. was raised missouri synod and it sucked sometimes
love being a lutheran but of course my family was the black sheep one because we were outspoken and were very vocal about disagreeing with what the church was teaching. I agree with everything in the church except their stance on abortion, homosexuality and manyother things. Why do i stay, don'tknow, maybe cause i think by working within might change somethings, or the fact that i am too stubborn to give into the crazies. If you think missouri synod is conservative, go see a wisconsin synod, those guys are nuts!!!

8. At least they're up front about it
It's shitty, but still, they've cut themselves from gov't largesse rather than compromising their... ahem... principles. Can you see the likes of Falwell doing that? He (and hordes of other "faith-based" fundies) would game the system and give her sub-basement care to preserve the flow of gov't schwag.

9. Of course they reject transexuals ...
Believing that God put the gender identity of one sex in another gender's body would mean they'd have to admit God makes "mistakes" ... and that would cause their widdle-bitty pointy heads to explode.

10. In the name of God, so much shit has transpired.
God is laughing his head off at what transpires as christian, muslim and jewish religeons. War, War, hatred, Hatred, evil, evil. That is how it seems to me. None of the rabid preachers are any good.
