Whole Bible Being Read On Capitol Hill
Whole Bible Being Read On Capitol Hill

POSTED: 9:57 am EDT May 1, 2006

WASHINGTON -- A hymn says, "Go tell it on the mountain."

On Capitol Hill this week, the entire Bible is being read aloud, from "In the beginning" to the final "Amen" of the Book of Revelation.

The 17th annual Bible Reading Marathon began Sunday evening on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol and continues non-stop for 90 hours, concluding Thursday on the National Day of Prayer.

This year's volunteer readers include children, clergy and members of Congress.

2. What version?
People who believe in an inerrant Bible need to explain to me how there can be so many versions?

If God guided the hands of all translators up to King James, did he suddenly and mysteriously stop then?

And if not, what of the substantial differences between King James and versions like The New Jerusalem, The Living Bible, or The Postmodern Bible?
