2. not impossible
The Apostle Paul was pretty amazing in that he was a great persecutor of the early Church. He was transformed by the light of Christ and lived as a simple but effective servant for the truth of the gospel. I love Pauline theology and the glory and security that comes in knowing Christ.

I was reading some Aquinas and it talked about how it is impossible to be fulfilled in this life (yes even with Bush losing) unless you are fulfilling your human nature. Our human nature of course consists in relationship. We were made for relationship with Christ. Aquinas is pretty cool and pretty progressive on a host of issues.

3. Oh, I agree
a vision sent from God can do wonders for even someone like GW Bush.

I also agree that we are made for relationship with the divine. I may call That by the name Beloved, or God, but in reality, it is All the Same.

"Allow us to recognize Thee in All Thy Holy Names and Forms;
As Rama, as Krishna, as Shiva as Buddha.
Let us know Thee as Abraham, as Solomon, as Moses, as Jesus, as Mohammed,
And in many other names and forms, known and unknown to the world."

from the prayer Salat given to us by Haz. Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan.
